The aggressive brush is a highly abrasive brush type that is ideal for removing grease and hardened dirt. This brush can be used with a hand driller shaft or with a rotary brush machine. These brushes have to be sized correctly to suit the ductwork that is being cleaned – they should be 10% smaller than the duct size so they can rotate freely to remove the deposit. Aggressive brushes are effective at removing both dry and wet grease as well as hardened dust.
Anti-static brushes are highly effective but have to be sized correctly so that they can suit the ductwork that is being cleaned. These brushes should be approximately 10% larger than the duct size so that they can rotate freely to remove dirt. The copper strands in the brush are tired off around the brush adaptor that helps to ground the static charge that is generated during brushing, this greatly improves performance when working with fine dusts and powders. These brush types are very effective when working in processing parts or ATEX environments.
Our basic brush is fitted with nylon bristles, which are perfect for removing general light dust types such as toilet extract systems. These brushes are typically used for cleaning small ductwork using hand driller cables. While using these brushes they should be around 10-20% oversized to the ductwork they’ll be cleaning. The brush is located on an M12 thread which connects directly into any Lifa Air brush equipment.
Combination brushes are an abrasive brush type that are ideal for removing general light dust such as bedroom or bathroom extracts. These brushes can be used with either a rotary brush machine or a hand driller shaft, and are perfect for removing dirt from small rectangular ductwork. These brushes should be around 10% larger than the intended duct size so that the longer bristles drag and reach into the corners of the duct.
Combination Soft Brush
The combination soft brush that we provide has a combination of long soft bristles with a selection of shorter and more rigid nylon bristles, which makes it very effective against regular dust types. It is an ideal tool for removing dust in all kinds of projects such as schools, hospitals and offices. The brush’s centraliser disc helps to improve negative air flow past the brush and improves the brushing effect. These brushes should be about 10% larger than the ductwork size.
Our grease brush is an aggressive brush type that is ideal for removing grease in accordance with TR19 guidelines. You can use this brush with a hand driller shaft or a rotary brush machine, as this is the perfect brush for removing dry or soft grease deposits. This brush must be 10% smaller than the duct size as it’s highly aggressive and needs freedom to rotate. Over time you will notice a loss of nylon bristles, so these brushes do need replacing after a while.
Grease Duct Chopper
The grease duct chopper is a particularly heavy duty brush which is usually used for grease or paint removal. It is made up of 4 cables that can be shortened or lengthened, which allows the brush to clean ducts between 500-1100m in diameter. This is used for kitchen LEV cleaning, and as the cables can be replaced easily and are removable to take up less space when in storage, it is a useful, powerful tool. The brush is noisy when used and may not be suitable for evening works.
Metal Razor Brush
Our metal razor brush is a highly abrasive brush type that is perfect for removing grease in accordance with the TR19 guidelines. You can use this brush with either a rotary brush machine or with a hand driller shaft, and you’ll find it’s perfect for removing hard carbonised grease deposits. These brushes should be about 5% smaller than the ducts they will be cleaning so that they can rotate without jamming on the duct or hard deposit.
The soft arrow brush is ideal for removing dust in small ductwork, as the arrow shaped tip helps in navigating through tight turns in narrower ducts. With the chance to make 90 degree turns in small ductwork thanks to the compressed brush length and arrow shaped nose you won’t have any trouble manoeuvring around ducts. This is perfect for cleaning internally lined ductwork systems as the soft bristles will not damage foam insulation.
Soft ball brushes are perfect for cleaning small ducts, as they’re super soft so it won’t scratch any PVC ducts. This brush can also be used on internally insulated ductwork without causing any damage – so it is ideal for toilet extract and laundry extract cleaning works (with a hand driller shaft).
The soft brush should have a centraliser disc used on it while mounted on a rotary brush machine to help with removing fine dust. As the brush is extremely soft it can be used on internally insulated ductwork without causing any damage. This soft brush is fitted with the Lifa Air nylon centre attachment, which makes it incredibly durable. This brush should be combined with a centraliser disc for the very best results.
Tynex + Nylon Bristle
Our Tynex + Nylon brush comes fitted onto the M12 threaded brush connection, so it is perfect for using with hand driller shafts and smaller rotary brush machines. This brush is great at removing dry grease as well as dust and hardened dirt in accordance with TR19 guidelines. These brushes should usually be 10% larger than the duct they will be cleaning.
Our Tynex ball brush is an aggressive brush type that is absolutely ideal for removing dust in accordance with TR19 guidelines. The brushes should be around 10% above or below duct size to rotate freely to remove the dust.
Tynex Brush with Nylon Centre
This Tynex brush is a great multi-purpose brush, as it comes with Nylon bristles that have a rougher abrasive Tynex bristle. When used with foam it is excellent for grease removal, and is also good when removing hardened dirt/dust in general ductwork cleaning. When grease deposits are thin or dry however, the Tyrex can work like a sander and can remove the grease by making it into a greased powder – which can easily be vacuumed away.
