The Safe Choice for Delicate and Insulated Systems
When cleaning air conveyance systems, using the wrong brush stiffness can be disastrous. Standard nylon brushes can tear foil-faced insulation or degrade old fibreglass linings. This releases hazardous fibres into the airstream. The Tecai Fine Nylon Brush is engineered to solve this problem.
Featuring ultra-fine, soft-touch polyamide bristles, this brush delivers effective agitation. It works to loosen dust and biological particulates. This is all without compromising the integrity of the duct surface. It provides the mechanical action required for TR19® Air compliance. Meanwhile, it ensures a non-destructive clean.
Engineered for Critical Environments
This brush is the industry standard for working in sensitive environments. Duct preservation is paramount in these spaces. It is designed for:
- Internally Lined Ductwork: Safe for thermal and acoustic insulation (rockwool/fibreglass) faced with foil or fabric.
- Flexible Ducting: Perfect for cleaning flex-duct connections without tearing the thin plastic or wire helix.
- Plastic and PVC Systems: Prevents micro-scratches on smooth plastic surfaces. Otherwise, these can become breeding grounds for bacteria and mould.
- Textile Ducts (Socks): Gentle enough to agitate fabric air distribution systems. These are often used in food processing and laboratories.
Performance Features
- High-Density Bristle Count: The “Fine” configuration uses a higher number of thinner bristles compared to the standard brush. This creates a dense “sweeping” effect. As a result, it captures fine particulate matter (PM2.5/PM10) better than coarser tools.
- Shape Recovery Memory: Despite their softness, the bristles have excellent elastic memory. They return to their straight profile after use. This ensures consistent performance over various jobs.
- Aerodynamic Design: The hub design allows negative pressure airflow to pass through the brush head. This ensures dislodged dust is immediately evacuated to your HEPA collection unit.
Compatibility
These brushes integrate with the Teinnova (Tecai) range of rotary brushing machines. This includes the Rotair, Element, and Multibot systems.
Pro Tip:
For insulated ducts, we recommend a brush size that matches the duct diameter. Otherwise, it should be a little larger (+50mm). This ensures the bristles “tickle” the surface to lift dust. You don’t want them scrubbing hard against the delicate lining.
