Introducing The New BESA Air Hygiene Technician Short Course

BESA Air Hygiene Technician short course

Hasman are thrilled to announce that we’re now offering another BESA accredited short course to those who are looking to progress in their career in the vent hygiene industry. The BESA Air Hygiene Technician short course is now available to the market following a successful pilot course ran by Hasman in August. The 5 day course is the most challenging of all the BESA ventilation hygiene short courses, comprising 4 days of training and one full day of assessment.

What is involved in The BESA Air Hygiene Technician short course?

As with all of our courses, practical training is paramount and over 4 days delegates will receive hands on training in carrying out tasks using real equipment in our state-of-the-art facility, alongside theoretical training. On the fifth day of the course delegates will be assessed on what they have learned through this training. The assessment includes an 85 question exam paper and a 4 hour practical assessment where candidates must demonstrate their proficiency at cleaning ventilation systems. Sampling methods in accordance with BS15780 and CIBSE TM26 are also assessed in the practical examination.

What is gained from the BESA AHT course?

Industry experience is a prerequisite to this course and it is not suitable for those who are new to this industry. The course will confirm existing knowledge while building on expertise in advanced cleaning techniques, reporting protocol and sampling methods. On completion of the course a successful AHT would be able to survey works, lead cleaning projects and complete documentation for post clean verification reports.

When is this course available?

Hasman will be running its first Air Hygiene Technician course in early 2019 for up to 8 applicants. If successful candidates will be certified for 5 years, and this certification can be added to an existing SKILLcard.

To be one of these successful candidates call our team on 03333 443 780 to book onto the BESA Air Hygiene Technician short course.

Hasman would like to thank Ventilation Surveys & Services Ltd for supplying staff for the pilot course at their own expense in August.
